Despite Governor Pawlenty's vow to veto any bills that increase taxes, both the Minnesota House of Representatives and Senate have passed bills that would make numerous changes to the corporate and personal income tax, sales and use tax, property tax and other miscellaneous taxes.
S.F. 2074 and H.F. 2323 were passed on April 24th and April 25th, respectively. For more details on these bills, see my posts on April 21st and April 22nd.
What will happen next? Will the Governor stop it, or will Minnesotans pay more when they can least afford it?
